GeoScholars is an initiative created to give global exposure to Indian students in terms of academia, research activities, training, internships and employment.
We, at GeoScholars, believe that it is imperative for students to develop a holistic approach towards education, beyond curriculum and theoretical knowledge. We venture towards establishing an experience for the students where theoretical knowledge could be coupled with practical execution. We develop opportunities for students to undertake research activities, corporate apprenticeships, training programs with institutes and organizations in India and overseas.
We, at GeoScholars also endeavor towards defining curriculum beyond geographical boundaries and bringing forth an international platform for students in and across the globe. In lieu with this, we organize and propagate full time admission in foreign universities, student exchange programs, faculty exchange programs, course sharing, e-learning and simulation experiences.
Our programs are executed in partnership with leading universities and institutions in Europe, United States of America, Japan and South Africa.
About The Founder
Payel Chattopadhyay has undertaken international projects with universities in the USA, Germany, Singapore, and South Africa. After taking a break from a successful corporate career to backpack through Europe, Payel launched GeoScholars to combine her knowledge of the Indian educational sector with the strengths of her professional networks abroad, creating educational opportunities for students seeking international experiences.
Prior to launching her startup, Payel graduated from Presidency College, Kolkata and earned an MBA from the Goa Institute of Management, after which she played a national management role at Bajaj Electricals, visiting 800+ retail counters across India.
In her spare time, she reads copiously, tutors her teenage brother, and dreams of ways to evolve the education sector in India.
